John and I had a fantastic week! We ate at my favorite San Diego sushi place,
Sushi Deli on Tuesday after work, and JOHN GOT A JOB OFFER on Friday!!! I thought having the sushi was fabulous, but
when John called me at work on Friday with the good news I was so pumped!
He will be working at a Real Estate company as a Real Estate
Assistant. He is really pumped because
he was hoping to get into the real estate field as the next step of his
career. Aside from assisting, he will be
coming up with process improvements and thinking of creative ways to better the
business. His workplace culture seems
vey similar to my job, and he is excited to start working – he might even start
this week! His new company expects him
to become a licensed Real Estate Agent within one year and I may even take the
real estate course with him so we can both obtain our real estate
licenses! I’d love to get into real
estate in addition to working at DT.
John and I had a fun weekend celebrating his job offer. We are planning a celebratory dinner
together, but unfortunately weren’t able to get a reservation this past
weekend, so we celebrated by doing other things! On Sunday we enjoyed the San Diego Greek
festival! Although not as impressive as
the Greek festival at Yiayia and Papou’s church in New Jersey, it was still
fun!

John’s friend Zach was visiting San Diego with his family,
so after the festival, John and I headed over to Balboa Park to meet up with
them and give them a tour of one of our favorite San Diego spots. John also had a great time surfing with Zach
and his family on Friday while I was at work.
So far, John and I have been so successful on our
journey! Just 15 weeks ago I was sitting
at my desk at Citi, unable to see out the window above my cube walls. Now, I possess memories of seven weeks of
adventure, my boyfriend and I have both secured exceptional jobs, I’m living in
a city with seemingly perfect weather, and I have nothing but exploration ahead
of me!
